Perhaps one of my favourite tourist spots while in London was a visit to Windsor Castle, the weekend retreat of the Queen.
To be honest, I didn’t really know what to expect, but suffice it to say it was more than worth the visit. On my next trip to London, I have every intention of returning - I was so enamoured of the place.

An unexpected pleasure on my time in London was a visit to England’s oldest pub, the Royal Standard of England, which has been open for 9 centuries (approx. 950 years, or so I believe).

When I got to London, one of the things I wanted to see were the famous Houses of Parliament.
There’s so much history wrapped up in those famous buildings, and I was really keen to see them up close and personal.
Anyway, the day and time came, and we’d spent time wandering through London and we finally got there.

One of the most interesting ways to see London is by air. Until recently, that was pretty difficult, but now it’s easy - just step onto a platform and into the pod of the London Eye. The platform moves slower than the average escalator, making it easy to see the city.
