While I was in London, most of my main meals were eaten at Aylin’s parents place (damn fine home cooking!) so I didn’t really get to venture out to lots of restaurants as such.

When we did go looking for food, it was fairly expensive - although that was  mostly due to the exchange rate between the Aussie dollar & the pound! Not a pretty picture at the best of times, I’m afraid, so I just resigned myself to paying twice as much as I would be back home.

However, there were a few good places we ate at that are worth checking out.

Gordon Ramsay, famous TV personality, restauranteur and chef, has a series of restaurants, of which the most well known is probably the Royal Hospital Road London location.  This restaurant gets a lot of attention, but it’s also true that many establishments are over-hyped.  That means that it can be hard to tell whether Gordon Ramsay’s London restaurant is worth a visit on your London trip or not…
